Russia-Advocacy Training Program (2007-2009)

Program Description:  

Interlegal worked in six federal administrative districts throughout Russia providing training to 180 Russian CSOs in advocacy and providing assistance to Russian CSOs for planning and executing effective advocacy non-political campaigns, mobilizing citizen participation,

utilizing the media to generate interest and debate on relevant issues and developing cooperative relationships with other civil society, private and public actors to help the Russian civil society organizations increase their advocacy skills and organize independent and regional non-political campaigns.  Interlegal advocacy training for the civil society organizations was supplemented by a small grants program to the organizations to support network-building advocacy campaigns and building the capacity of civil society organizations.
